Native American Management Services, Inc. (NAMS) is an American Indian, woman-owned, small business providing management support services to the federal government, tribal governments and the private sector.  Patricia Parker (Choctaw) and Tonya Parker (Choctaw) founded NAMS in 1992 in the Washington, DC area, after successful careers in both tribal and federal governments.  The Parker sisters used their professional expertise, grounded with cultural traditions , to create a company uniquely suited to deliver quality services with excellent leadership and teamwork.

NAMS has earned a solid reputation as a high quality, dependable contractor.  In 2004 and 2006 NAMS’ staff was recognized by the Administration for Children and Families, Department of Health & Human Services, with an award for Outstanding Contractor of the Year.   NAMS has enjoyed exceptional longevity with its federal clients, winning both follow-on contracts and new work from referral by clients.  NAMS provides an array of management services including event management, pre and post grant management, GPRA compliance, management consultation and support services and training and technical assistances.  A significant portion of the company’s services is provided to support and enhance tribal community economic growth and development.  NAMS has subject matter experts in cultural issues, diversity, statistics, biomedical specialties, environmental policy, and financial management.

GRANT LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT

With the enactment of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, Public Law 111-5 (P.L. 111-5), much of the economic recovery proposed by the Administration will be focused on making federal expenditures through grants.  In anticipation of the expanding work load for federal agencies to award and manage grants under this Act, Native American Management Services (NAMS) has assembled a ready-to-work team of procurement and grants administration specialists to help agencies effectively execute each phase of the grants management life cycle, from pre-award through grant close out.  A unique offering from the NAMS Team is a fully developed custom designed tracking and reporting software for a complete Grants Management System (GMS).  Our GMS helps clients document the grant-award process, monitor the performance of grantees, and determine the impacts and outcomes of grant funds with custom reporting for accountability and transparency.
