The Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) is sponsoring a series of training sessions for Alaska villages, Indian tribes, tribal organizations, and ONAP staff. These sessions are designed to provide participants with the practical skills and knowledge required to build successful tribal housing developments. The trainings will be offered in all six ONAP regions (Southern Plains, Northwest, Alaska, Eastern/Woodlands, Southwest and Northern Plains) from Spring 2008 to Fall 2008.

The trainings will cover many different areas of tribal housing development, including the application, opportunities, and challenges of working with the Native American Housing Assistance and Self Determination Act of 1996 (NAHASDA).
