All those responsible for conducting, supervising, procuring, certifying and/or approving environmental compliance activities, documents, or services for environmental review.

This includes:

Tribal Leaders and Council Members, TDHE Executive Directors and Board Members, and Tribal/TDHE Staff.

This course will provide an introduction to the environmental review process as well as a comprehensive examination of and instruction in this process. It will provide guidance for those circumstances when an entity assumes Federal environmental responsibilities and also for those when HUD retains such responsibilities. Participants will leave the session with an understanding of how these processes work in a step-by-step fashion.

Specific topics include: how to determine if a project is exempt, categorically excluded, or subject to NEPA; preparation of an environmental review; and, planning for and managing environmental reviews. This course will provide those undertaking the role of an environmental review with tools, techniques, and helpful hints, and will make use of participant exercises and interactive case studies.
